Tomorrow night, my father's business, Community Tectonics, has a job interview in McMinn County. They are one of two finalists for a school job. Their competition has little to no experience but these things are never certain. Please keep this meeting in your prayers. We could really use the job.

Today at 1:42 PM, I received an e-mail from Gayle Roberts (BPR) with an attachment indicating that I had been recommended for acceptance to the PhD Program in the Educational Psychology & Counseling Department at UT. Finally! Thanks for all who have prayed for me during this time. Now, please pray that I can actually do the work.

My friend BP asked for prayer for a ten-year old name Madison (MP). MP has experienced chronic headaches due to spinal fluid pressure since September and her condition is worsening. Within the past week she had a bad reaction to her medication and was placed in the East Tennessee Children's Hospital today for observation. She is scheduled to go to Vanderbilt Medical Center on March 31st for treatment, but truly needs to be admitted sooner. Please pray that God would grant the doctors wisdom to properly diagnose and treat MP’s condition as well as give strength, comfort, and encouragement to MP and her family as they endure this trial.

Today, my friend JR informed me that her friend JOK lost a lot of blood during surgery Friday at the UT Medical Center. Please pray for her and if possible, follow my lead and donate blood in her name at the Medic Regional Blood Center. If you donate blood before April 6th, you can get a complimentary t-shirt with this design (see right).

Yesterday, JBT and SCB broke up. You may remember that the two were slated to get married last summer in Virginia. JBT is describing the breakup as more of a break. Please pray for strength and wisdom as they decide whether or not to continue their relationship.

Anna Faye, a toddler at my church who will turn three in October, has just begun an eight-week program at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. The child refuses to eat. She had surgery performed on her when she was an infant and has yet to start eating. What was a biological problem is now psychological. John Hopkins is the nation’s preeminent center for this type of eating order. Please pray for her and her family during this difficult time.

Tonight I had my first interview with Doug Smith, the chairman of the Pastoral Search Committee at Rutledge Baptist Church. I really enjoyed our discussion and I will have a second meeting with the entire search committee next week. I learned that the church had been disbarred from its local Baptist Association for featuring women deacons. I really, really want this job. Please keep the church and my potential involvement with it in your prayers.

Tomorrow would have been my grandmother Mary Louise Jones Nodell's 95th birthday. It is the first time her birthday has passed since her death last May 3rd. Please pray for my family, especially my mother DLNV, tomorrow.

Tomorrow, my cousins will be traveling. Most of the family will be driving to Baltimore where my cousin HLN will be attending Goucher College. Meanwhile, my cousin HANJ flies back to her home in Abilene, Texas. Please pray for safe travel, that the family receives additional financial aid from Goucher, and that I remember to chauffeur HANJ to the airport.

After having my Adult Learning class at UT from 5:30 to 9 tonight, I am slated for a return session from 8:30 AM to 5 PM tomorrow. As you did last time I had one of these weekends, pray for stamina throughout the day. I enjoy the class but nine straight hours is just too long to study any one subject.

Tomorrow, I have a biopsy scheduled with the Knoxville Dermatology Group at 10:15 AM. I have a small bump beneath my skin on my right jaw line and doctors told me to get checked it if it returned. Please keep this appointment in your prayers.

Through the generosity of CBP, my resume will be sent to Rutledge Baptist Church (located at 211 Church Street in Rutledge, Tennessee). The church has a small congregation of less than forty. The job would pay very little but would include a parsonage with paid utilities. They seem to be open to a bivocational minister and the fact that I would be in school while I worked. Their last pastor recently left to take the same position at Cumberland Baptist Church in Knoxville. Retired Carson-Newman College professor Robert M Shurden is their interim pastor. Due to CBP's endorsement, Dr. Shurden has agreed to submit my resume to the search committee on Sunday. Please keep this church and my potential affiliation with it in your prayers.
