Today, it was officially announced that TWC will no longer be a minister at my church. Effective January 1st, 2009, he will be the Directional Pastor at Brookwood Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Jim Barnette, a common guest preacher at my church, is the church’s current interim pastor.
The church voted unanimously on Sunday to hire TWC, though they had been negotiating this deal since August. All three of TWC's grown children will be making the move with the family.
As has been reported many times, I had been negotiating with TWC to work in his department. There is no word yet on how this will affect the creation of my position.
