My church is having a "Join the Church Emphasis", which is a campaign to get people who are attending but have not joined to join. They sent out form letters to all on role who were not members.JTH's father CEH (aka "Homer") was the only one to respond today. He has attended the church for approximately thrity years without ever joining. LWF sent him a personal note with the letter and he and his wife met with the pastor early this morning. Homer will be baptized on November 30th in a private ceremony. I am uncertain that even I can attend.
Praise God for this turn of events as it means so much to the family.
