As I am sure many of you have heard, there was a shooting this morning at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville. A 58-year old man opened fire during a children's musical production. The church is located just down the road from my own church and by the time our services convened, news had already spread throughout the congregation.
Seven were injured and two are dead.
The culprit, Jim David Adkisson of Powell, has been charged with first-degree murder. His motivation was evidently the organization's liberal social stance.
