Tonight, WAM and I texted one another while making plans to attend Watchmen on Wednesday night. WAM obligingly offered to pay for my ticket and told me to consider it an early birthday present. He then checked, to make sure my birthday was the 12th. I told him it was, but it was the 12th of April. WAM replied,
“At least I got the day right. That’s close enough for me.”
Me too.
