Word of the Day - 2/26/2009

Redolence

Redolence means having a pleasant odor; fragrant.

At the outset of the Song of Solomon, the speaker compliments her lover's redolence.

“Your oils have a pleasing fragrance,
Your name is like purified oil;
Therefore the maidens love you. (Song of Solomon 1:3, NASB)
