Word of the Day - 8/22/2008

Tittle

A tittle is a dot or other small mark in writing or printing, used as a diacritic, punctuation, etc.

Jesus assured his followers that despite his revolutionary teaching not one tittle would pass from the Law. (Matthew 5:18, Luke 16:17.)

"But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter of the Law to fail." (Luke 16:17, NASB)
